Das erst stuck mit dem pucklär aus dem oberhaw | Merck | wenn dw den oberhaw treibst zw dem mann | So setz mit dem knopf dein swert Inwendig auf deinen pucklär zw deinem daumen | vnd stich jm von vnden auf zu° seinem gesicht | vnd wind gegen seinem swert | vnd las vber schnappen -

The second play

Note, from the upstrike | when he strikes up to you | Then twist to your left side to engage him against your shield | then you stand thus in two shields | then twist to your right side opening | and attack him toward the mouth | If he wards this and raises the shield up | Then take his left leg. The third play

Note, from the plunge strike: do as if you would stab to his left side over his shield | and drive with your point through below | and stab him inside of his shield | and just then twist to your left side, if he wards this | Then take his right leg with the long edge -

Item nÿm dein kling | zw dem pucklar in dein lincke hat | vnd wind gegen ÿm als mit dem halben swert | Haut er oder sticht er dir oben zw dem gesicht oder vnden nach dem pain | So lass dein rechte hant vareñ von dem pint vnd versetz ÿm das mit schilt | vnd mit swert | vnd greiff denn mit deiner rechten hant auf sein rechte seitten nach dem schilt wol vndersich | vnd dre in auf dein rechte seitten | So hastu ÿm den schilt genomen

The sixth play

Note, take your blade | to the buckler held in your left hand | and twist against him with the half sword | If he strikes or stabs to you above to the face or below to the legs | Then let your right hand drive from the grip and displace him with the shield | and with sword | and grasp then against the shield with your right hand to his right side well below you | and push him to your right side | Thus you have taken his shield.
