Other Early Reviews

Extreme Fencing with the German Longsword is brilliant.  It far exceeds expectation.  It presents a unified, dynamic and complete method for the beginner. Whatever few interpretive disagreements of moves that I had were due to differing personal understanding of such moves, and not because of any lack of substantiation of your own how & why.  Strikes, displacements, binding & winding, footwork, tactics, drills and consequently the Liechtenauer directives were all addressed.  It was also the most useful and clear integration of the Liechtenauer method and the Silver method that anyone has ever presented.  Its outdoors photography, as well as its pace and humor, made it appealing.  This is the Liechtenauer Bloszfechten video that the English-speaking world has been awaiting.  - Jeffrey Hull, author of "Knightly Dueling"

This DVD production is of high quality, and is obviously the result of careful design, planning and organization.  It is well laid out and which would offer instructors an excellent teaching aid for his/her students to learn and understand the basics of swordsmanship aided by intuitive video and graphics presentations.  I believe that any would-be practitioner who is considering pursuing swordsmanship, whether of the German, Italian, English, etc. style, should be encouraged to watch this production as it offers one a very good basis from which to begin his/her training.  As for those who are experienced practitioners, what this production offers is a good review of the presentation of the concepts and foundations of fencing which are so often so deeply internalized that sometimes, it is a challenge to communicate these concepts and foundations to recruits.  It is unlikely that a skilled fencer will learn anything new from this production, however, if the skilled fencer is also an instructor, it may provide the instructor with an alternative teaching aid for his/her students. - David Cvet, president and co-founder of AEMMA

You guys did a marvelous job with the post production. At the risk of sounding canned, I must say this is by far the most  instructional and entertaining work on the subject matter I have ever seen. - Ingo Bruning, historical fencing fan
